Kathleen M. Loucks is an attorney with Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC and concentrates her practice in the areas of construction law and general civil litigation. Loucks represents homeowners with construction defect claims, and contractors with litigation issues. In addition, she represents families and individuals who have been injured through
medical malpractice.
Loucks is a former prosecutor and has been a civil litigator for the past six years, representing clients at the state, federal, and appellate levels.
In 2006, 2007 and 2008, Loucks was named to the "Rising Star" list by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine, representing the top 2.5% of young attorneys in the state. As an adjunct instructor at Hamline University School of Law, she is co-teaching the course "Wrongful Convictions" for the current year.
She is on the Advisory Board for the Minnesota Innocence Project, a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, Minnesota Women Lawyers Association, and the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association.
Loucks is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Minnesota and Iowa, and the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota. She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from William Mitchell College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
